Thank to all who have provided feedback on my new website. All of you seem to prefer the new uncluttered look and I have made several minor changes based upon your comments.

I have received lots of positive comments from people all over the world (don’t you just love the Interwebs) and look forward to pushing my business further with this tool.

My wish list

Just had this thought come to me as I was editing wedding images. If I could have a photograph session with any five people I have met, who would they be?

#1 - My ex-wife

I don’t actually have many photographs of her at all and our marriage ended before I really got into photography. I love the chance to sit her down and photograph her properly.  She has the most expressive eyes and her face lights up when she laughs like noone else I know.

#2 - My ex-girlfriend Lucy

Although I have many photographs of Lucy (much more than I do my ex-wife) I never really got the chance to do a proper shoot with her.  Again, the eyes. I reckon I could get some amazing shots.

#3 - Meagan Morris

Meagan (excuse spelling) has been a bridesmaid at two of my weddings and I would love the chance to work with her one-on-one both in a studio and on location somewhere.  Once again … the eyes.

#4 - Musician Tommy Emmanuel

Such an expressive man and musician would be amazing to work with. I have had the hounor of many moments with the great man but have never nailed him down for a photo session. One day.

#5 - My Son

My favourite photo of him was taken on the one occasion he stood still for more than ten seconds. I’d love to be able to shoot him properly.

I’d be interested to hear your lists and reasons. If you haven’t left a comment before it goes into a moderation queue before being published.

Portrait Session: Master C.

Portrait Session: Master C., originally uploaded by RXAphotos.

I was looking for photos this morning to upload to my reworked website (released soon) and came across this one. This is from a portrait session back in March.

When I originally looked at this I showed it to the clients but wasn’t thrilled with it. I did however add it to the list of photos shown to the client.

I reprocessed the image and now I have it in my portfolio.

RXAphotography on Facebook

If you are on Facebook, come along and join the RXAphotography group. I’d love to see you there.

It works!

I received my first two orders from my new online client image library (http://www.rxaphotoarchive.com) last night and today. I have yet to upload all my past shoots and may just use it moving forward, but when I got home at 2.30 am I had an email from PayPal saying they had recieved money for an order and here are the order details!

A very nice birthday present I can tell you. Yes today is my 37th birthday.

All future clients (and past clients who request the feature) will be able to see all their photos online and be able to order prints, mounted prints and canvases directly from the website. Each photo comes with pricing options and images can be easily added to the shopping cart. From there you can pay via Credit Card, PayPal account or email the order and receive my bank details via return email.

There are a few visual bugs that need to be sorted out but the online payment system works a treat. My client was very suprised to see me on her doorstep with the prints less than 24 hours after she ordered them but I thought she deserved a treat being the first to use the new system.

Time to reorganise.

I have been going through a mammoth project of cataloging and archiving photographs so i can find them easier as well have a smaller version to look through.

I have also begun naming my shoots (both paid and personal) for ease of cataloging.

I’m going to start posting highlights of past and present shoots so forgive me if the numbering system seems ‘wonky’.
