The new business cards have arrived

The new business cards have arrived. I order my business cards from moo.com in the UK. In the past I have gone for the mini-cards but decided to go for the full sized business cards. These cards, like their mini-card siblings, allow you to choose up to 50 of your images to be displayed on the back of the card.

I took advantage of an offer to save 20% by ordering 200 cards and got a free card holder included. The cards arrived in a week and as usual, the quality is up to Moo’s normal excellent standards.

I look forward to handing them out.

InvestHK Event Shoot

Yesterday (Wednesday) morning I was shooting an event for InvestHK. The seminar was for people and companies interested in expanding their business into the Honk Kong province of Foshan. The list of speakers include Dr. Chen, the Mayor of Fushan Province (pictured below), the Director-General of Invest HK as well as several prominent business leaders who have made the move into Foshan and the Pearl River Delta.

The seminar was held at the Langham Hotel on Southbank in Melbourne. A stunning venue, it had the smae issue that most of these venues have … appalling lighting for photography!

The Nikkor 85mm 1.8 lens paid for itself this shoot as I could shoot without a flash distracting the speakers whilst maintaining some kind of professional distance from the subject.

I enjoyed the shoot and even learned a few things as I photographed each of the speakers and gathered some general “atmosphere” images.

Mentioned on Photography.ca Podcast

Nothing fascinating but I was mentioned on the recent photography.ca podcast. I was mentioned amongst others for contributing to the associated forum and blog.

Happy Birthday Lani

A Daddy-Daughter Moment, originally uploaded by RXAphotos.

The beautiful baby featured in the photo above is now a gorgeous one year old. I had the pleasure of taking a few photos of her at her party today.

Even I scrub up OK.

I was featured in a blog post by Melbourne Photographer Shelton Muller over on his blog.

Preeti Boudoir Session

I’ve only just got around to looking properly at the boudoir session I did with young Preeti last Saturday in Sydney. The location (Mertiton Towers Serviced Apartments) was perfect for this Boudoir/Lingerie session.

This was the first boudoir session for both of us and we got right into it!

Preeti is of Indian descent and was fantastic to work with responding to direction well along with adding her own posing tricks to the shoot. We laughed and laughed as we shot, always talking about the angles whilst having a great time.

We went through a few changes of clothes and she ended up in a bath full of bubbles with me balanced precariously above her.

Boudoir sessions are a great idea to capture some fun, relaxed and sensual feminine photographs of yourself and make great gifts for your partner or for yourself. Contact RXAphotography to organise your boudoir shoot. It can be done at your home or at a favourite hotel.
