I was mentioned in Ren’s wedding blog tonight:
“On a GREAT note, I am getting the fabulous Richard Annable of RXA Photography to do my TTD!
What is a TTD, I hear you ask?
TRASH THE DRESS. Yes, I am going to do something thoroughly silly in my wedding dress like tromping through muddy pools of water and dousing myself under waterfalls. Horrifying, ain’t it?
Let’s hope the steel bones in my corset don’t rust.”
Ren, I have already started brainstorming ideas and locations.
May 25th, 2008 — General, Portraits
Today I took my family to Monsalvat. Montsalvat consists of a series of unique and distinctive buildings in the European style set in over 12 acres of parkland.
It is a portrait/wedding photographer’s dream as the opportunities present themselves to you as soon as you enter the property. From stunning landscapes to intimate rooms, the possibilities are nearly endless.
One of the reasons for my visit was to show my mother and her fiancé the location. They were considering having their wedding portraits taken there based upon my endless raving about the place. I took them up to “the loft” and shot a few photographs and even on the back of the camera they were impressed with the lighting and how it could be used.
I then took the rare opportunity to actually set up a photograph using my son Matthew. For once (to my amazement) he actually stood as he was asked and as a result I captured the best photograph of him I have ever produced in his six and a half year life.

I have been going through a mammoth project of cataloging and archiving photographs so i can find them easier as well have a smaller version to look through.
I have also begun naming my shoots (both paid and personal) for ease of cataloging.
I’m going to start posting highlights of past and present shoots so forgive me if the numbering system seems ‘wonky’.
